Chef Asimakis Chaniotis and restaurateur David Moore, the team behind Michelin-starred Pied à Terre, are turning the space above the restaurant into an eight-seater chef’s table. It’s been designed to look like a home kitchen, albeit a super fancy one, so this isn’t your regular chef’s table set-up.
The experience, which seats up to eight guests at £165pp, will involve Asimakis serving a tasting menu inspired by both his Greek heritage and the French food he cooks at Pied à Terre – that means dishes like trout mousse with mango and nage jelly, burned lemon, caviar & lobster oil; and smoked quail with celeriac, winter truffles and confit egg yolk. Each experience will be unique, so the menu will change depending on the season but you could be looking at up to 22 courses, and yes you can get a wine pairing, chosen from the 800-bin list, to go with it too.
