indie rock group The Charlatans have just gone and made a whole lotta boys and girls happy with the up coming release of their new album Modern Nature (dropped Jan 26th). 25 years on since their debut and still championing a genre that has been around for decades, the first single release from the album ‘Come Home Baby’, available here, doesn’t disappoint. Think classic indie goodness mixed with today’s bouncy alternative rock scene and you got your self one hella song. Video’s pretty cool too!

After the death of drummer Jon Brookes in 2013 the band haven’t been short of support. A stellar selection of contributors from their three temporary drummers – Pete Salisbury of The Verve, Stephen Morris of New Order and Gabriel Gurnsey of DFA’s avant-disco group Factory Floor, to Kate Bushs’ backing singers Melanie Marshall and Sandra Marvin have all helped make the album what it is in honor of their late friend.

Following the release of their twelfth album, The Charlatans have announced their UK tour kicking off March 3rd in Bristol and rounding it up at, albeit, the Roundhouse in London. Tickets are almost sold out so get yours now.
