It’s London Cocktail Week so forgive us if we go a little overboard with the cocktail news and reviews. Last week we told you about Smatt’s Rum and Ice Cream shack and now we bring news of another pop-up. This time it’s the turn of Bourbon Whiskey Buffalo Trace, which has created a prohibition inspired pop up bar named The Buffalo Bourbon Empire.
officiallyPaying homage to the history of Buffalo Bourbon – it was 1 of only 4 distilleries in America to survive Prohibition – the pop-up comes complete with curtain-cloaked entrance, authentic American cocktails and conspicuous waiters donning spats and braces. Think Lawless but a little more glamorous.
Guests can get involved in tasting master-classes hosted by Master Blender Drew Mayville, go in a draw to win a trip to New York for 2, or try a range of Buffalo Trace signature cocktails (£4 for London Cocktail Week wristband holders or £7 without). What’s more the bar will be around for 3 whole weeks.
