THE BRIDGE THEATRE IS BACK WITH A NEW SEASON OF SHOWS

Although theatres are now allowed to open, many London venues are still trying to balance running costs with reduced audience capacities so there’s been little in the way of live performances. The Bridge Theatre has managed to crack it and has just announced a new season of one-person plays. As well as cutting down on the number of actors and crew, each show will have a maximum capacity of 250 to ensure that there’s adequate social distancing between audience members.

The season includes Beat The Devil, written by David Hare and performed by Ralph Fiennes; a selection of Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads, performed by the likes of Lesley Manville, Maxine Peake and Tamsin Greig; An Evening With An Immigrant by Inua Ellams; Quarter Life Crisis by Yolanda Mercy; and Nine Lives by Zodwa Nyoni. Booking is now open and there’ll be automatic refunds should any of the performances get cancelled.
