East London stomping ground that we all know and love, is set to be the playground once again for two charitable events at the end of July – The Brick Lane Auction on Thursday 24th July and the Village Fete on Sunday 24th. All with the ultimate goal of raising money for Ability Bow, a gym catering for people with disabilities in East London, as well as showcasing some of the area’s most respected artists.

The mastermind of Chris McMuck, a manager and promoter in the music and clubbing industry during the early 90s, he was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 2005. In conjunction with his industry friends, the events were created in recent years to help with much needed fundraising.

For the auction, a wide range of artists have donated artworks – from talent including Vivienne Westwood, Mydogsighs, Anna Laurini, Benjamin Murphy, AK47, Andrew Weatherall, which will all be on show at the Beach Blanket Babylon on Brick Lane.

Whilst the Village Fete will take place in the grounds of St Matthews Church in Bethnal Green with a series of live music performances throughout the day, locally sourced food stalls and a licensed bar.
