knew his balls would be so tasty? Hot on the street food scene The Bowler serves his meaty, juicy balls of love, made from free range meat and fresh ingredients, from his grass fed van aptly named ‘The Lawn Ranger’. Clever ey? We went down to give his balls a good go and we have to say our favourite was the crusty balls…and that’s a first from us! By crusty we actually mean the vegetarian balls which had a slightly crispy coating with a yummy lentil filling.

All balls come served with a red onion and tomato sauce, rice or pasta, soured cream and a bit of coriander. There’s a no carb option too if your watching the pounds…so thoughtful!

You will find Jez (the ball maker) and his grassed up van at food festival FEAST and he’ll be popping up throughout the summer at food events across the capital so keep an eye out. Alternatively if you’ve always fancied your hand at a bit of ball making he’s just released a book ‘The Bowlers Meatball Cookbook’ with all you need to know advice on how to make the perfect fish, meat and veg balls. Yum!
