Situated at the quieter end of Camden High Street away from the hordes of tourists, The Blues Kitchen is one of Camden’s best kept secrets. With live Rhythm and Blues music on every night the bar is constantly buzzing with the coolest Londoners, skinniest jeans and biggest hair.
The
bar has great décor. Leather booths surround the walls, pictures of famous jazz musicians are dotted throughout, and a mass of weird and wonderful lights hang from the ceilings. There is even enough room to dance should you feel the need!As a blues bar, the bar specializes in Bourbons, Ryes and Tennessee whiskeys but also has a great selection of reasonably prices cocktails £7.50 including a couple of signature ones. The bar is open until 3am at a weekends and 1am most week nights, a great alternative to those sweaty nightclubs your frequented as a teenager. The Bar serves a selection of American Soul food until 10:30pm which is good for soaking up all of those cocktails.
Check out the future events online, past acts have included Pete Doherty. But beware you will need to get tickets in advance for the bigger shows.
