Are the Christmas sandwiches the best bit of the festive season? Probably
We all love the traditional turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce combo but with so many other festive ingredients also on the table, we like to see who’s brave enough to deviate from the classics. It’s that time of year when eating sarnie after sarnie for lunch is totally acceptable and here’s our rundown of this year’s festive offerings.
Classic Xmas Sarnie | Fink’s
Head to any Fink’s location and prepare your jaw for a workout because the classic Xmas sarnie is back and it’s absolutely stuffed. They’ve packed marinated slow-roasted turkey breast, stuffing, sprout top coleslaw, cranberry sauce and sage & onion mayo between thick slices of Fink’s sourdough.
Kringle Club | Mondo Sando
South London sarnie slingers Mondo Sando have created a beast of a festive sarnie. The Kringle Club, which’ll be available at both Cafe Mondo and the Grove House Tavern, is loaded with crispy skin chicken thigh, bacon & apricot stuffing, sprout kimchi slaw, gochujang cranberry sauce, and crispy onions. YUM.
The Sleigher | The Black Pig
If you need a change from turkey, get your hands on the Sleigher from The Black Pig. The stall’s signature slow-roast pork is joined by smoked bacon, spiced red cabbage, confit leek mayo, bread sauce, cranberry sauce and pecan, sage & onion stuffing, plus a gravy dipping pot because what’s a roast without gravy?
Christmas Hash Brown Sandwich | Blue Boar x Hash Hut
The Blue Boar and Hash Hut are joining forces this year for the ultimate Christmas chip butty – a brioche roll stuffed with a stack of hash chips, a pigs-in-blankets patty, sprout & onion slaw and herb stuffing, with a gravy dip on the side.
Festive Toastie | Deeney’s
A Deeney’s toastie is a good idea any time of year but especially at Christmas because they do a killer festive version. Turkey, stuffing, red cabbage and cranberry sauce is melted together with plenty of brie; the sarnie is garnished with a deep fried sprout; and you get a side pot of gravy for pouring, dipping and just getting stuck into.
The Best Christmas Sandwich | Sandwich Sandwich
Known for its monster creations all year round, Sandwich Sandwich has gone big for its Christmas sarnie this year. This massive sandwich has sliced is deep filled with turkey, bacon, stuffing, beef, cranberry sauce, herb mayo and gravy – god only knows how to eat it without making a mess.
Loaded Focaccia Turkey Sandwich | Honey & Co
If you’re in Bloomsbury, head to Honey & Co for your Christmas sarnie fix. You can get one of their loaded sarnies – roast turkey, sausage, cranberry relish and red cabbage slaw in a focaccia – at Honey & Co. Daily, Honey & Spice and Honey & Co. Studio.
Christmas Roast Sandwich | Stakehaus
One of the best festive sarnies of last year, the Stakehaus Christmas Roast is back for 2025. Swapping the turkey for dry-aged beef rump, the sarnie packs all the roast dinner sides – cauliflower cheese sauce, cavolo nero, parsnip crisps, horseradish mayo and beef gravy – in a hoagie roll. Bag yours at Seven Dials or Winter Wonderland.
Christmas Sandwich | Fortitude Bakehouse
Fortitude has gone down the ‘classic but massive’ route for its Christmas sarnie this year, and we respect it. It’s a big old baguette loaded with turkey, ham, stuffing, kale, cranberry sauce and aioli.
Festive Sandwich | Jolene
Whether you’re going meaty or veggie, Jolene has you sorted for a cracking festive sarnie. The meaty one has smoked chicken, red cabbage, cranberry and sage & onion mayo packed in between thick cut slices of bread, or you can go cheesy with brie, cranberry, sage & onion mayo, and sprout, apple & chestnut slaw.
Blue Christmas | Chatsworth Bakehouse
Like all of CB’s sarnies, this one will take some effort to secure but boy will be it worth it. Turkey pastrami, provolone, blueberry & cranberry jam, onion & mustard mayo, and bread & butter pickles. YUM.
The Festive Dip | The Audley
Mayfair pub The Audley has turned its London Dip sandwich into the Festive Dip this Christmas, filling it with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy. And come the new year, it’ll be transformed once again, becoming the Leftover Dip.
Turkey BLT | Gerry’s Hot Subs
Given this festive sub has lettuce and tomato in, it’s healthy right? That’s what we’re telling ourselves anyway – and you need the salad to balance out the smoked turkey, maple bacon, BBQ mayo and cranberry sauce.
Roasted Turkey Ka’ak | Common Breads
Lebanese bakery Common Breads is doing a twist on the classic turkey sarnie this Christmas with its roasted turkey ka’ak. Their signature fluffy ka’ak is filled with turkey breast, chicken stuffing, cranberry sauce and crispy onions, with 10% of every one sold being donated to Choose Love.
Festive Turkey Sandwich | Kossoffs
This Kossoffs sarnie might not be as deep-filled as some of the others on this list but its certainly punching on the flavour front. It’s got roast turkey, sage & shallot stuffing, cavolo nero, cranberry sauce and mayo in between slices of house white sourdough.

Rogue Turkey Club | Rogue Sarnies
If you want a slightly lighter (but by no means smaller) take on the Christmas sarnie, Rogue Sarnies in Bethnal Green has just the ticket. Herb brined turkey is cooked low and slow, sliced, dipped in gravy, and joined by sage and onion sausage stuffing, winter tomatoes, shredded lettuce, red onion, Grana Padano and secret club sauce.

Festive Toastie | Jeremy Lee x StreetSmart x Fortnum & Mason
Jeremy Lee has teamed up with StreetSmart and Fortnum & Mason to create a festive toastie to raise money for the charity. Jeremy’s Italian-inspired toastie, featuring fried bread, mozzarella, prosciutto and sage, will be available from 2nd – 18th December, will all money raised from Fortnum’s food counters across this period going directly to StreetSmart.

Pigs in Blankets | Nova
After developing sandwich concept Outside for Trinity, Adam Byatt has partnered with BM Caterers and Nova Coffee & Bakery in Farringdon to give it a new home. That means you can get sarnies like Aubergine Parm, Coronation Chicken and Chilli Falafel, as well as festive specials for Christmas. The Pigs in Blankets one, filled with three generous bangers, stuffing, slaw and cranberry sauce, is the pick of the bunch.
