THE BEST BRUNCH MEAL KITS

In normal times, scoffing on stacks of pancakes and smashed avo on toast (preferably with a side of free-flowing fizz) was the highlight of the week. You can’t do that with this lockdown malarky but you can now get the best of London’s brunches delivered straight to your door (and you can stay in your jammies whilst you eat). Kick your weekend off right by diving into one of these brunch boxes…

On The Table

On The Table is all about doing things in the most sustainable way possible. They source independent produce and box it up (without as little plastic as possible) to make stand out sharing meals from scratch. Their Pancake Brunch includes smoked salmon and streaky smoked bacon from London Smoke & Cure, seasonal fruit from Natoora and pure Canadian maple syrup to drizzle all over your stack. Trust us, you’re in for a flippin’ good weekend with this brunch box.

Breakfast En Bread

The Barge House in Hackney is famous for its breakfasts inside sourdough loaves and you can get them at home thanks to the Breakfast En Bread delivery service. The loaves are stuffed with spinach, leeks, mushrooms, tomatoes and, depending on which variety you choose, cheese, bacon and sausage, and each one comes ready to go in the oven so all you have to do is add the egg yolk right at the end. It’s the most low-effort brunch you can get and you can even freeze the loaves if you want to save up them for a treat.

Both kits come with their signature sourdough, a bottle of cold-pressed juice and, of course, their Special Bru coffee. These kits do require a bit of action in the kitchen but it’s worth the extra effort.

Campbell’s

Okay, we know this one’s not a kit as such but it is one of our all time favourite brunch foods. We’re talking about smoked fish. Specifically, Campbell & Co’s smoked salmon and trout. These guys cure their carefully sourced fish in a Scottish smokehouse giving it a mild and oaky flavour. Serve these silky slices on some sourdough toast with a squeeze of lemon for an easy but delish Sunday brunch.
