The Begging Bowl, our favourite Thai spot in Peckham, is heading north of the river and popping up in Hoxton at The Bach Cafe for November. The Peckham restaurant is having a bit of refurb, including the introduction of a new cocktail bar, so whilst that site shuts up shop until December head chef and co-owner Jane Alty will be cooking in Hoxton Wednesday – Saturday for five weeks.
The pop-up will run a shortened ‘Best of The Begging Bowl’ menu and includes dishes like guinea fowl, black kale, pickled garlic and pennywort salad; fermented shrimp, tiger prawn relish, sticky pork belly, green tomatoes and castelfranco; and delica pumpkin, white sweet potato, quince and chestnut mussaman. If you live east and have yet to make the overground journey down to the original Begging Bowl, this is one pop-up you won’t wanna miss.
