the alexandra palace summer festival is back

The Alexandra Palace Summer Festival is back and we’re excited for a psychedelic summer party with music, food, theatre, family fun and 60s vibes all round. And yes, the giant waterslide is also back too! The 100m long waterslide (the biggest in London) is on everyone’s summer hit list, but you’ll need to bag a ticket (£8.80) so make sure you snap one up before they’re gone.

There are a whole host of activities happening throughout the day, including a silent disco held in hidden woodland where you can get one with nature, family raves from Big Fish Little Fish and an outdoor cinema screening of 90’s cult classic Austin Powers International Man of Mystery, set to start as the sun goes down. There’s a jam-packed theatre programme too, with shows from Chickenshed for the little ones along with the Lost in Translation Circus, who will be mesmerising us all with their dazzling acrobatics.

Ally Pally hosted the 14 Hour Technicolour Dream back in ’67 which saw Pink Floyd showcasing their wizardry and is now the stuff of legend, AND this summer we are all sure to be feeling the love once again. With music from legendary, The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club headlining Stage on the Slope, and three stages to choose from, you’ll be grooving the day away. All that and we’ve not even told you about the street food, which sees Le Bao, Le Bun, Hanoi Kitchen, Claw, Butchies and lots more satisfying your hunger. What a scorcher!

Some of the events do require tickets, which you can book here, BUT the festival itself is totally FREE and there’ll be plenty of live music, graffiti workshops, love painting, craft beer from Five Points and Beaver Town amongst others to keep you entertained. It’s just good times baby.
