Good news for crate-diggers with a conscience, The Affordable Record Fair is back for another edition at Borough Wines Tap Room in Walthamstow, this time with an extended after party. The last two fairs have been a roaring success, with the June edition alone raising over £1,000 for the Love Wins #solar4kenya initiative.
Records start at £1, with nothing over £15. It’s designed to be a fun, unintimidating space, as welcoming to young people and newbies starting their first collection as it is to the seasoned vinyl nerd, with loads of good independent labels and collectors already onboard. It’s also the perfect excuse for DJs and collectors to move on pre-loved stock, and pitches are free on a first come, first served basis. Plus, there’s free entry exclusively for our INSIDERS.
Beyond the digging, there’s plenty to keep you there: great wine on tap (plus a few beers), food, DJs, books, vintage gear and the wonderfully named Unlucky Dip. Running from midday, it’s a properly good way to spend a Saturday – and every record you buy helps bring solar power to Kenya.
