som saa is hosting the ultimate throwback this weekend by returning to Climpson’s Arch, the place where it all began, for a very spesh Thai weekender. Not only will they be serving up classic dishes from their residency, like Som Tam Kai Kem (green papaya salad) and Geng hung lay (pork belly curry with ginger and pickled garlic), but they’re also bringing Smoking Goat to the party on Sunday, who will be serving char sui from a custom charcoal smoking barrel and offering a little preview into their new Shoreditch site. There’ll be plenty Singha cans, Sang Som whisky-soda buckets and som saa and Smoking Goat cocktails to wash all the grub down. It’s no ressies for the whole weekend, so just turn up and tuck in.
