TENDRIL’S MAYFAIR POP-UP IS GOING PERMANENT

After a series of successful residencies and pop-ups, Tendril is about to become a permanent London fixture

Celebrated and (mostly) vegan chef Rishim Sachdeva launched his Tendril concept in Mayfair as a pop-up last summer and now it’s officially relaunching as a permanent restaurant. Originally set to last for just three months, the pop-up has been extended time and time again due to popular demand and, after a brief closure, Tendril will reopen this July after a revamp.

Tendril will continue to serve up a menu of imaginative plant-first signature dishes, with a few new additions to appear alongside Rishim’s classics. The relaunch menu is still in development, but you can expect the likes of:

  • White bean spread with chilli garlic tahini
  • Crispy leek with smoked potato salad & curry leaf aioli
  • Grilled cabbage with heritage carrots, homemade XO sauce & winter ferments
  • Beetroot ‘nduja parfait with steamed rice cakes & nigella seed crumbs
  • Summer squash white polenta, basil puree & crispy samphire
  • Smoked peas, pickled wild garlic, mint tabbouleh & rye crumbs
  • Oat custard tart with summer berries & basil oil
  • Sesame chocolate ganache with poached cherries & pistachio praline

To match the menu, there’ll be a (mostly) vegan wine list made up of bottles sourced from low-intervention, European producers. There’ll also be a selection of cocktails on offer, each crafted with the use of ingredients from the Tendril kitchen. This is a chef who knows his way around vegetables; (mostly) plant-based food never sounded so exciting.
