Following his successful residency at Soho’s The Sun & 13 Cantons – and recent crowdfunding campaign – celebrated and (mostly) vegan chef Rishim Sachdeva is back with his latest Tendril pop-up, this time for a three-month stint in Mayfair. With his pop-ups receiving critical acclaim in the past, the latest comes as a significant step in the lead-up to Rishim securing his own place.
Tendril will open its doors on 17th June with an imaginative plant-first menu. New highlights include a sticky soy beetroot fritter bao with daikon and sesame scallion; a blue corn tostada with smoked beetroot nduja, chilli fennel pickle and tapenade; and pannacotta with berry peppercorn soup and fennel shortbread. We’ll also see the return of some Tendril signatures, including crispy celeriac terrine with beetroot, sorrel and aioli; and baked brie, truffle mascarpone and honey, served on seeded bread. This is a chef who knows his way around vegetables; (mostly) plant-based food never sounded so exciting.
