The TĀ TĀ Eatery Team Is Relaunching TÓU at The Globe Tavern

After some time away, TĀ TĀ’s sister TÓU is coming back

Ana Gonçalves and Zijun Meng, the pair behind TĀ TĀ Eatery – also Solis and those beloved katsu sandos – first launched their sando-focused concept TÓU in 2019. Now, they’re planning a return with a 1970s Japanese Americana-inspired sando bar set to open inside The Globe Tavern, starting in April.

Of course, we’ll see the team’s signatures return to the menu at TÓU, including their iconic Ibérico Pork Katsu Sando: Ibérico pork neck cutlet, cabbage, raspberry sauce and xo shallot sauce in between lightly toasted slices of brioche. We can also expect sides like skin-on fries with house sprinkles and desserts like a coffee & biscuits sundae (featuring homemade coffee ice cream with Biscoff, mascarpone custard and cocoa powder).

Drinks-wise, the focus will be on a large selection of Pet Nats, curated in collaboration with sommelier Stefano Cazzato (who’s worked at the likes of Crispin, Londrino and Hakkasan). Why Pet Nat? Ana and Meng said: “The addition of Pet Nats to our Sando Bar completes the TÓU concept with the refreshingly light drink cutting through the delicious richness of the Ibérico pork. Funky bubbles and sandos – what more could you want?”
