It’s the ultimate aperitif pairing
Did you get really into vermouth on your last Spanish holiday? Do you love a martini and want to learn more about one of its key ingredients? We’ve got just the thing for you. We’re hosting a vermouth tasting and gilda making masterclass with award-winning, B Corp distillery 58 and CO in Haggerston on Thurs 19th March, just ahead of World Vermouth Day.
58 and CO founder Carmen O’Neal, aka Cocktail Carmen (who you’ll have seen on Saturday Kitchen), will be leading the masterclass. She’ll guide you through different styles of vermouth, from crisp and dry to sweet, which you’ll get to taste both on its own and in a cocktail. And because nothing pairs better with vermouth than a gilda, you’ll also get to make your own version of the Basque bite using olives, anchovies and peppers.
Tickets to the masterclass cost £35 and include the guided vermouth tasting, mini cocktails and gilda making. The masterclass will run for an hour between 7pm – 8pm but the 58 and CO bar will be open from 6pm – 9pm for negronis and more if you want a pre- or post-session drink.

NSIDERS can book their tickets for the vermouth tasting and gilda making masterclass at 58 and CO on Thurs 19th March for £35 below. If you’re not a member yet, sign up below for just £2 a month. INSIDERS get access to hand-picked experiences, exclusive masterclasses and members-only offers – curated by our editors for less than the price of a coffee.
