Dani Garcia has brought a taste of his home region of Spain to Shoreditch with the Taste of Andalusia set menu at BIBO. Running at lunchtime throughout May (with some of the dishes also appearing on the evening a la carte menu), the menu,which is £40 for three courses, is a celebration of the ingredients and cooking techniques of southern Spain. Dishes include heirloom tomatoes with green olives & oranges; fried aubergines with sugar cane honey; slow-cooked oxtail stew with fries; pork loin & jamon roulade; Andalusian-style fried fish; caramelised rice pudding; and buñuelos, fried dough balls with whipped cream & chocolate sauce. You can’t have a Spanish meal without some sangria and some sherry, and both are available in cocktail form.
