Portuguese and Spanish concept Tasca takes over Project 44 on Rivington Street, turning the neighbourhood café into an evening wine bar and restaurant. It’s a rerun of the format that worked in Bethnal Green, where Tasca’s residency at Câv earned rave reviews from anyone who ate there, though Câv itself has since closed.
he new menu keeps the same produce-led approach from chef Josh Dallaway and sommelier Sinead Murdoch: Cornish crab on requeijão, Dexter beef tartare al pilpil, and a mussel and chorizo rice built for sharing, alongside Sinead’s by-the-glass list of coastal whites and skin-contact wines. Soft launch runs from 22nd to 25th July with 50% off food, before regular Wednesday to Saturday service starts on 29th July. The residency is open-ended, depending on how the next couple of months go. Lets tasca them with staying around for a long time…
