The Spanish restaurant from Ukrainian founders is opening on Charlotte Street
After opening Boca a Boca in Kyiv in February of last year, Andrii Nikonov is bringing his tapas spot over to London. Taking over the old Ampeli site on Charlotte Street, this outpost of Boca a Boca will boast a 60-ish cover dining room, a bar, a shop, an events space and a jamoneria.
We don’t have a London-specific menu yet but we’re expecting it to be similar to the Kyiv original, which has tapas and pintxos like jamon & artichoke on toast, jamon croquetas, garlic shrimp, tuna tartare, Padron peppers, pan con tomate and Galician octopus with potatoes; cheese and charcuterie; paella; and desserts like Basque cheesecake and churros. The wine list will be all-Spanish and will spotlight a different region of the country with a ‘wine of the month’. Sounds like it’ll fit into the neighbourhood nicely.
