tamashii to pop-up in king’s cross

New pop-up restaurant and bar Tamashii is opening in King’s Cross, taking over the former buffet restaurant site Kitchin. The space has been redone, creating a separate bar area where you’ll be able to get cocktails, local craft beers, sake, Japanese whiskies and oriental teas. Chef Wei, who’s worked in restaurants like Hakkasan and The Colony Club, is in charge of the menu, which features traditional Japanese dishes like ramen, robata, and teppanyaki as well as other Asian classics like thai green curry and crispy aromatic duck. The pop-up is being used to test out and refine the recipes and if it all goes well, Tamashii will open for good.
