You saw it on the latest season of The Crown and now you can see it in real life because the Queen is throwing open the doors to Buckingham Palace to the public. For ten weeks across the summer, you’ll be able to tour the lavish State Rooms, which are the ones Her Maj uses for official entertaining and ceremonial occasions.
Take a peek around the Throne Room, the White Drawing Room, the Ballroom, the Grand Staircase and the Picture Gallery, which are all furnished with seriously luxe furniture, carpets, chandeliers and pieces from the Royal Collection, including this year’s special exhibition Royal Animals. There’s no photography allowed though, so don’t go thinking you get can this on the ‘gram.
