The final part of the Bali series saw me spending a few days at The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Nusa Dua. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I knew this was going to be a special stay. Room Style and Comfort I stayed in a Deluxe Lagoon View room which felt like a mini apartment. These rooms are spacious, at 36 sqm, and come with every modern amenity you could need. The view room took it up a notch with a balcony overlooking the resort’s stunning lagoon-style pools. Tastefully decorated with Balinese handicrafts, including woven baskets and dulang tables, which add a touch of local charm and culture. The beds were incredibly comfortable and absolutely enormous. Restaurant Options The resort boasts five distinct dining options, each offering a unique culinary experience. Arwana, the beachfront seafood restaurant, was a personal favourite, especially during their Sunday Oceanic Brunch. The seafood was fresh, and the ocean views were unbeatable. Banyubiru's buffet was another highlight, with an extensive breakfast selection that included everything from Japanese and Indonesian dishes to fresh fruits and pastries. For a more casual vibe, Kulkul Beach House by the pool served up some fantastic signature cocktails and light bites, perfect for a relaxed afternoon. The Grounds and Pools The Laguna’s grounds are nothing short of breathtaking. The resort features seven lagoon-like swimming pools that are perfect for a refreshing dip at any time of day. The lush gardens and towering palm trees create a tranquil, tropical atmosphere that’s incredibly relaxing. I spent hours just lounging by the pool, enjoying the sound of cascading waterfalls and the warm Bali sun. The beachfront location also means you’re just steps away from a beautiful stretch of white sandy beach, ideal for a morning jog or an afternoon stroll. Activities The resort offers a variety of activities to keep you entertained during your stay. I started my days with sunrise yoga in front of an audience of Turkeys, an excellent way to greet the day. For those looking for something more active, there’s water volleyball and a well-equipped gym with views of the lagoons. The spa is a haven of relaxation, offering signature massages and treatments that leave you feeling rejuvenated, the ritual involved is a masterclass in hospitality. While there’s no kids' club, the resort does offer fun activities for children, such as batik painting and bracelet making. Final Thoughts Overall, my short stay at The Laguna was nothing short of magical. The combination of luxurious accommodations, diverse dining options, beautiful grounds, and a wide range of activities makes it a perfect getaway, whether you’re travelling solo, with a partner, or as a family.
