It was the same year Neil Young played too, everyone was freaking out because of the obvious joining of forces, however it didn’t materialise on the same stage. Coincidentally that was also the same year MJ died. The news of which spread around Glasto like wildfire, people were mourning so hard. Every single stall was blasting out his music, hundreds of lanterns being sent off, there was a lot of love and appreciation, it was emotional! The feel of the drums are insane, it’s really wonky but powerful, I can’t work it out, which is why I love it. His bittersweet playfulness in his music, the way he offsets crazy acid sequences with prepared piano on consecutive tracks.
