Men’s footwear Kaiser, Oliver Sweeney has managed to smash these two elements together to create an amazing concept, the Compass Collection.Cycling is a huge part of many Londoners lives. It’s pretty risky out there, but so is getting the tube at rush hour, whose hand is that? The Compass Collection is a blend of cycling shoe and contemporary sports sneaker, and it totally works. Inspired by the bicycle frame and the technology behind the sport, the Compass Collection is named so, because of the 4 points stitched at the heel of every shoe. They feature subtle style details but with secret added benefits.The leather straps across the toes, look great, but are also there to protect the shoes when using pedal clips, and the double welted fabrication give the shoes extra durability, but also by turning this inside out, you can now see the usually internal sharks tooth pattern. All the leathers are sourced in England, in two of the greatest tanneries, Claytons of Chesterfield and Charles F. Stead of Leeds, both known for their supreme quality and robust, yet flexible construction. They were asked to design leather thick enough to not need inner-linings, but strong enough to build with age. They sure rose to the challenge.Looking closer at the details, the shoes feature triple row stitching, that's seen in the premium denim market. The whole construction of the shoe screams quality.
