Break your fast at these London restaurants The holy month of Ramadan starts on the evening of 17th February meaning Muslims across the city will be fasting, consuming no food or water until after the sun sets, for thirty days. Breaking the fast is traditionally done with dates, before Iftar (the main evening meal) is shared with friends and fam. Here are the best Iftar meals in London to eat during Ramadan. Dishoom Dishoom is running meaty and veggie Iftar menus available for groups of four or more. They include Dishoom classics like house chaat, black daal, okra fries, gunpowder potatoes and Awadhi jackfruit biryani. There are also specials like the Lamb Korma with Khamiri Roti, and Chole Puri Halwa, chickpeas with halwa, pickles and a giant puri.
