In fact, we'd go as far as to say, they probably know everything there is to know about wine. Newly opened independent wine shop and bar Humble Grape is a wine lovers haven, specialising in high quality boutique wines from small, family-owned vineyards, and oh, it's our new fave place south of the river to get our wine on. We began with a delightful number from the pink section - swayed by the "summer in a glass" description - and a light, crisp glass of Dr Deinhard from Germany for our first (sophisticated, obvz) round. Both absolute winners though the Dr was a clear winner in our eyes, so much so, our new German friend got ordered for a second appearance. And in case you get the wine munchies like us, fear not, as Humble Grape's kick-ass menu will sort you out good. We nibbled on the charcuterie platter and croque monsieur before dying and going to heaven. We made sure we finished every last drop of wine before we were given the grand tour - humble in size but impressive in appearance, the guys have done wonders with the space. The downstairs bar is a great spot for something intimate and the private room upstairs is perfect for parties and their numerous wine tasting events which are sure to go down a storm. What was so clear from Humble Grape is that the team are passionate about their wine and they're determined to make sure everyone that comes through their door has a good time, which we definitely did.
