SUSHI AND SAKE SPOT EDO IZAKAYA TO OPEN ON OLD STREET

The team behind Robata in Soho is heading to Old Street for its next venture, the sushi and sake-focused EDO Izakaya

Opening next week on the former Flamboree site, right next to Tayer + Elementary and Officina 00, EDO Izakaya will take inspiration from the Edo period of Japanese history when izakayas started to become popular. There’ll be lots of woodworking detail that nods to the time period, as well as a chef’s table and a separate lounge bar area.

The new spot was originally set to open in December of last year, however, it was delayed until now, with the official opening date set for the second week in October. In terms of the menu, you can expect plenty of sushi rolls, hand rolls and nigiri alongside fried squid, chicken karaage and other small plates. Drinks-wise, it looks like sake and Japanese spirits will dominate the drinks list – plus there’ll be a long list of signature cocktails.

The EDO Izakaya team is offering some of their first diners 50% OFF their total bill – find out how to claim the deal below.
To save 50% on your bill at the brand-new EDO Izakaya, book in any time between Tues 10th and Mon 16th October 2023. Ready to secure that ressie? Get your table below.
