Since everyone and their mother has been sporting a moustache lately, it looks like Movember has decided to get a little more creative with their annual drive. This year, the men’s health charity is launching ‘tattoo’ parlour and barbershop Tats & Chats on Tottenham Court Road to accompany the 2022 edition of their moustache-based movement that raises awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and depression, while raising money to fund vital research.
On Mon 31st October, you’ll be able to drop by the pop-up parlour to get ‘inked’ with a temporary moustache tattoo as a way of honouring a loved one or celebrating having overcome a personal, mental or physical health issue. Tattoo artist Dan Gold (who’s inked the likes of Britney Spears and Kate Moss) has designed the two temporary tattoo options that’ll be available, which include the classic ‘Mo’ tattoo and a larger illustration of a dapper English gentleman sporting a moustache.
If you’re ready to get growing your mo for the month, Tats & Chats will also serve as a barbershop where you’ll be able to have a luxury shave from Ted’s Grooming Room – the perfect way to get prepared for your fresh new ‘stache. As for the ‘chats’ portion of the name, the pop-up will also provide a space for supporters to talk about their mental and physical healthy journeys while they get their tat or shave. Both services are totally free, you’ll just need to book a slot via Eventbrite ahead of the day – happy Movember!
