So pastels for summertime is not exactly groundbreaking stuff, but it works for a reason. Subtle shades of pink, mint green, pale blue and lilac add an instant sense of youthfulness to any outfit. Buttercup yellow in particular is having a real moment this summer; it’s uplifting, refreshing and just screams sunshine. If pastels feel too sweet and girly, look for pieces with interesting detailing…strapping, fraying, zips and the like…to keep your look modern. And if you’re more into trainers than twin-sets, look out for your fave pieces cast in different shades for a gentle twist on your own style.
