Studio Ghibli is heading to London this winter with the arrival of Maison Ghibli, an official pop-up shop dedicated to the legendary Japanese animation studio. Opening in Knightsbridge for a limited run, it’s the first time Londoners will be able to browse a fully curated selection of Studio Ghibli-certified merchandise in a standalone space.
Fans of Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and Kiki’s Delivery Service can expect shelves filled with plushies, minifigures, stationery, homewares and collectors’ items – all imported directly from Japan and exclusive to the pop-up. There’s even a Totoro photo moment in the shop window, so prepare to queue behind fellow superfans for that essential snap.
Running right through the festive period and into the new year, Maison Ghibli is set to be a major draw for Ghibli devotees, gift-hunters and anyone who wants to soak up some of that whimsical Miyazaki charm IRL.
