Feast are on a bit of a roll at the moment. Having opened up an amazing space in Dalston, they have now launched Model Market in Lewisham. Taking over a disused 1950s market that was previously pretty dingy, the space has been opened up at one end to let in the sunshine. Rotary have a huge bar here serving up ‘festival sized cocktails’ (cocktails in a pint glass – check out the grapefruit collins) and the usual craft beers. Also make sure you swing by the Rum Shack which is serving up some seriously good and seriously strong rum-centric cocktails.

All the food vendors are set up in the original shop fronts and it’s a nice touch that they’ve kept the old signs, one of the bars is in a former hair salon for instance. There’s a great food line up, including SmokeStak, Breddos Tacos, Yum Bun, Dogtown, Mama’s Jerk, Rola Wala and South East Cakery. We tried everything, for research of course, and particularly enjoyed the beef brisket bun from SmokeStak, all of Dogtown’s Hot Dogs, and Yum Bun’s pork buns.
