The Eccles Stout, the annual collab brew between St JOHN and 40FT, is back for 2021 and the pair are celebrating the only way they know how, with a big party at the 40FT taproom in Dalston. As well as plenty of the black stuff (which is raisiny, spiced, smooth and more Eccles-ier than ever) on tap, in cans and in sharing bottles, Acme Fire Cult, aka Andrew Clarke and Daniel Watkins, will be manning the grills. There’ll be aged short rib glazed with Eccles stout and served with fermented ancho chilli, beef fat crema, pickles and naan for the carnivores, and stout-glazed smoked celeriac with mushroom & seaweed XO, coco bean miso, creme fraiche and naan for the veggies. That’ll warm your cockles for sure.
