SSAW Collective, run by chef Lulu Cox, is popping up at Newcomer Wines this spring and taking over the Dalston wine bar’s garden. The SSAW Collective set menu, which will change weekly, will champion ethical producers and regenerative farmers and showcase lots of fresh and foraged ingredients. That means you can expect dishes like pickled mussels & coriander on toast, English mozzarella with braised greens, BBQ hogget & green sauce, Jersey Royals & wild garlic butter, and rhubarb & walnut trifle, with Newcomer Wines offering a range of organic, biodynamic & natural wines to go with the food.
The set menu will be available Thursdays – Sundays and you’ll need to book, although there will be a bar snacks menu available for walk-ins. And if you do just want to pop into Newcomer’s shop, SSAW will also be adding fresh flowers, pickles, preserves and other seasonal goodies for you to buy.
