Woodberry Wetlands is one of our fave places in London
You’re in the heart of Hackney but you feel a million miles away from the city thanks to the 17 acres of reed-fringed ponds and dykes filled with wildlife. It’s worth a visit any time of year but even more so this summer as Woodberry Lates are running every Friday until the end of August.
From 6pm – 9.30pm, you can come by for cocktails made with Hackney Gelato, like the Golden Hour (with tequila, scotch bonnet chilli, ginger ale and Alphonso mango gelato) and the Raspberry Sundowner (with Campari, rhubarb & apple soda and raspberry gelato) and tapas bites. The food menu includes:
- burrata with olive oil and rocket
- focaccia with salted radishes
- cajun calamari and garlic mayo
- patatas bravas
- asparagus with hollandaise
- cheese board with bread, cornichons, pickles and chutney
As well as spending the end of the week out in nature with a bev and some snacks, you’ll also be supporting the London Wildlife Trust’s work in looking after places like Woodberry Wetlands. We’ll drink to that!
