Christmas in London is always pretty magical and Wembley Park is one neighbourhood really turning up the festive fun this winter. With everything from live music to pop-up selfie spots to shopping at the London Designer Outlet, you won’t have any trouble getting into the Christmas spirit.
If you still need to cross some names off your Christmas list, there’s a Festive Market popping up in Market Square on 10th and 17th December from 10am – 5pm, with traders selling candles, handmade gifts and more, There’s also the London Designer Outlet, where you can shop up to 70% off at brands like Nike, Calvin Klein and Levi’s, find great gifts at Sony Centre, ProCook and The Body Shop outlet, and check out their new festive decorations.
In fact, it’s not just the LDO that has been given a seasonal makeover as new immersive artworks have been added to the free Wembley Park Art Trail, so you can make a real day of it while you’re shopping and properly explore the area. There are seven new pieces on the theme ‘Winter’s Wander’, including scenes of colourful characters and animals by Tilly AKA Running for Crayons, and 34 banners created by Douglas Green and Louisa Smurthwaite that display the phases of the sun and moon at winter, plus new permanent pieces from Jenny Cox, Paul J Marks, and Yoni Alter. And don’t miss the new winter walkway, Christmas gift box, red star seat and ski lift bench selfie spots where you snap your very own works of art.
Wembley Park’s newest outdoor stage, the Sound Shell, is providing the Christmas soundtrack with live performances from soloists, choirs and barbershop quartets every weekend until 18th December, and once you’ve explored all the art and picked up your pressies, you can refuel with festive menus at the likes of Pasta Remoli, and Atul Kochhar’s Masalchi, so off you go!
