Third time lucky on this stretch by the Museum of the Home
Space Talk, the Farringdon listening bar known for a strict no-photos policy and a cocktail list built for lingering, has opened a second site called Cremer. It’s named after the street it sits on, right by the Museum of the Home, on the spot last occupied by Molly’s Café, the Anchor & Hope team’s restaurant that closed after several years, and briefly run after that by a catering company’s café.
Cremer bills itself as a café, bakery and canteen. Woven textiles, shelves stacked with paperbacks, the kind of interior you’d expect from a team that made its name on mood lighting rather than natural light. For now, it’s breakfast and lunch only.
Two café attempts on this site haven’t lasted. Whether Cremer can make sourdough stick – in the same way Space Talk has become one of London’s most talked-about bars – remains to be seen. But with a loyal following already in tow, expect to see plenty of Space Talk regulars settling in here for a hangover brunch.
