SOUNDS FOR UKRAINE

On 9th September, a group of professionally trained and talented amateur pianists will put on a concert in aid of Ukrainian educational theatre organisation NGO Molotok. After Russia’s invasion of the country, NGO Molotok has been providing shelter to those in need – mainly children – from its base in Transcarpathia. So, to support their vital work, the group of Central Saint Martins students have planned this evening of classical pieces by celebrated composers from Ukraine (such as Sylvestrov and Skoryk) and the rest of the world (including Chopin and Debussy). Sounds for Ukraine will differ from the typical music concert in allowing each performer to voice the feeling they put into their music – an insight the audience doesn’t usually get. Tickets are on sale now at £10 each.
