It’s all change at the hotel for the summer
Brooklands is The Peninsula hotel’s signature restaurant, with two Michelin stars, a superstar chef in Claude Bosi, and a plum rooftop position with outdoor terrace. However, sunny rooftops and Michelin star tasting menus don’t necessarily go hand in hand, so for this summer the team are essentially pausing Brooklands for two months and offering an entirely new concept called Soleil by Claude.
As the name might suggest, this is very much geared towards the summer and long sunny days out on the terrace. It’s out with the tasting menu and in with an a la carte menu of Mediterranean dishes such as:
- Tarama, cured egg yolk, and crab
- Troife, pistou, green beans
- Wolves lane tomato salad with labneh
- Wagyu burger, okonmiyaki, onion compote and fries
- Grilled Dover sole with grenobloise sauce
- Slow cooked lamb shoulder for two
- Baked Alaska with mango and pineapple for two
To drink, there’s a good line up of spritz and summer cocktails, the Peninsula’s own-label champagne, plus a big selection of rosé which is the perfect drink for the setting and the food.
With great views and a pétanque pit to boot, this is sure to be hot ticket this summer.
