Chef Rajesh Parmar, who’s worked for the Taj Hotel Group in India and the Waldorf Astoria in London, has opened his own place Soho Wala (no affiliation to Rola Wala), inside the Courthouse Hotel. With the look of an Indian marketplace, there’s a focus on street food with the likes of peanut chaat, bhel puri, kurkure bhaji and kathi rolls on the menu alongside tandoori dishes and curries. The cocktail list features classic serves given an Indian twist, like the chai white Russian and a spiced version of a cosmopolitan. It’s classic and comforting Indian food all the way here and a good one to have up your sleeve if you need a post-Liberty pit-stop.
