Soho House is getting into the budget hotel game with new concept Mollie’s Motel & Diner. Inspired by 1950s American motels and diners (the name kinda gives it away there), the first Mollie’s will open in Buckland in Oxfordshire this month. With an initial rate of £75 a room, the first Mollie’s will feature 79 bedrooms, with king-size beds, Egyptian cotton sheets and rainforest showers, with bathrooms stocking one each of shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and moisturiser. Guests will also have access to free tea and coffee, with a general store providing space to work and somewhere to stock up on essentials.
On the diner side you can expect a classic American menu, with bacon and sausage baps, eggs and grain bowls for brekkie; nachos, rotisserie chicken with mac & cheese, and Dirty Burgers for lunch and dinner; and shakes, juices and sodas joining booze on the drinks list.
The Oxfordshire site may not even be open yet but plans for Mollie’s in both Manchester and Bristol are already in the works.
