Thanks to the Tailenders podcast from Felix White and Greg James, cricket is the new cool. Mac and Wild founders Andy Waugh and Calum Mackinnon think so too as they’re opening a second branch of their cricket bar Sixes in Fitzrovia. The new site will feature four state-of-the-art batting nets where you can do your best Freddie Flintoff impressions with the immersive Sixes Cricket Simulator, and an 80-cover restaurant and bar.
Menu deets for the Fitzrovia Sixes haven’t been revealed yet but we’re expecting it to be the same gastro-pub vibe as the original Fulham site, meaning dishes prawn cocktail cups, Dorset cider steamed mussels, lemon fried chicken with kiev butter dip, crispy shredded pork shoulder with soft buns & BBQ gravy, and Eton mess – perfect fuel for racking up those runs.
