Hit Parade’s 10th single sees Julian Henry reunited with Cath Carroll, who signed to Tony Wilson’s Factory Records as a solo artist back in the day. The pairing sees them back together for the first time since the 1990’s. New single ‘I Like Bubblegum’ is a three minute lipstick and candy floss teen dream pop duet.

Supertramp and Pet Shop Boys spring to mind as the track opens with a synth led baseline. ‘I like Bubblegum’ is enjoyable and fun but slightly on the cheesier side of the fence.

All proceeds from this record go to the restoration of Porthmeor Studio in St Ives, Cornwall. The Hit Parade’s 5th album Cornish Folk Songs is due out in 2011.
