THOUSAND HANDS
RELEASED: 21ST AUGUST 2015, VIA FELTE

Sextile. Not a piece of naughty flooring, but a U.S quartet making slightly weird, fuzzy, rocking noise on debut single ‘Can’t Take It’. We’re not quite sure what ‘it’ is, but it’s causing Brady, Melissa, Kenny and Eddie to kick off some sonic grief. Marauding drums, eerie synths, and creepy FX give the single a hypnotic feel like a chant at a cult meeting. If Wicker Man was a festival, this would be the headliner.

The long intro gives way to a sweaty, angsty sound that’s part Joy Division, the rest, pure punky Sextile. Subtle doesn’t feature, so, if you like a sustained barrage of in-yer-face, the album ‘A Thousand Hands’ will be out on Felte in August.
