Brighton was being engulfed by a volcano eruption in a movie (suspend disbelief, go with it!) then this would be the soundtrack to it. Nordic Giants (from Brighton) craft bombastic, accomplished electronic pop that smashes you politely over the head with their textured wall of sound, and leaves you elated and spent after 3 minutes in their sonic company.

Rapture (featuring Written in Waters’ Beth Cannon) is the first single from their debut album – A Séance of Dark Delusions. It really does sound like something elemental, exploding in your ears and stirring the imagination. Soaring vocals, urgent percussion, strings and ‘tings create a collision that’s part choral, part introspection, all drama. The ‘quiet’ bits are nuanced and subtle.
