SINGAPOREAN RESTAURANT BURNT ENDS TO OPEN IN HARRODS

Burnt Ends, rated #94 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, is set to launch a new site inside Harrods next year

Harrods has been reeling in the big names lately. Studio Frantzén, from six Michelin-starred chef Björn Frantzén, opened last November, shortly followed by the announcement that three Michelin-starred chef Masayoshi ‘Masa’ Takayama would also be launching a restaurant at the store this year. And now, it’s been revealed they’d be welcoming another new restaurant, this time it will be a UK outpost of Michelin-starred and world-renowned modern barbeque restaurant Burnt Ends.

Founded by chef-owner David Pynt, Burnt Ends is based in Singapore and currently holds the 41st place on the 2022 Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants List. At the heart of the original site is an open-concept kitchen equipped with a custom four-tonne, dual cavity oven and four elevation grills. Their menus are written daily and dishes are cooked over wood.

This marks a return to London for Aussie chef Pynt, who started Burnt Ends as a pop-up in the city back in 2012 before moving the concept to Singapore in 2013. While details on the new spot are a bit thin at the moment, we know that it’s set to land in town in mid-2024 and hope that we can expect a lot of the same smoky barbeque that’s made Burnt Ends an internationally recognisable name. Given how hard it is to get a table at BE Singapore – and the fact that around 1500 people had already made reservations at Studio Frantzén before it even opened – you may want to think about planning way ahead if you want to nab a booking.

Opens mid-2024
87-135 Brompton Rd, London SW1X 7XL
