Patty & Bun’s chicken spin-off Sidechick launched as a delivery brand last year and after keeping us all well fed at home during lockdown, it’s flying into Central London and opening as a proper two-floor restaurant. Naturally those juicy corn-fed birds with marinades of za’taar, garlic & honey and piri piri will be at the heart of the menu, with head chef Luke Frankie (previously of The Drapers Arms and Spring) also cooking up sides like confit onion, anchovy & olive flatbreads and aubergine with smoky tomato compote & labneh.
Alongside all of that you’ll be able to sip on natural and biodynamic wines and cocktails like Tang Tang (pisco, Aperol, tangerine juice, lemon juice, orgeat & egg white) and Fig & Rhubarb Smash (vodka, rhubarb puree, fig syrup, lemon juice & soda). For us Sidechick was one of the big success stories of the 2020 lockdown so this is an interesting next chapter – who else will follow suit?
