We got to be big fans of hotpot on our trip to Vietnam earlier this year (apart from the one made entirely of fish heads), so we’re pretty damn excited for Shuang Shuang, a specialist hotpot restaurant launching in Chinatown this November. It all begins with a big pot of broth and Shuang Shuang will have five to choose from including Bird Berry (made from a rare breed of black-fleshed chicken and dried Chinese berries) and Herbal River (prawn and lemongrass).
Next comes the ingredients to dunk in your broth and there will be over fifty to choose from on the restaurant’s conveyor belt, including: thinly sliced free-range British Beef and Pork; Sea Bass Slices; Pork and Crab Wontons; Fresh Oysters; Queen Scallops; and…. Fish Heads!
