If
there’s one event that you need to attend this evening before you gallivant into your four-day weekend, it’s this eye-opening show at Boxpark by legendary street photographer Dougie Wallace. Accompanied by DJ sets from Jodie Harsh and Alice Temple, as well as a live turn from Duo Thief, the exhibition showcases 15-years worth of Wallace’s technical brilliance and his rare genius of discovering bizarre moments that we mere mortals may pass by. You can even pick his brains in a live Q&A at 6:30pm, you lucky ducks.Yes, we’ve all seen things that can’t be unseen in Shoreditch (a particular incident involving a young woman, a lamb kebab and a pigeon has scarred us for life) but Wallace has an extra special knack of capturing the carnal and absurd nature of one of London’s most downright-barmy districts.
So get yourself down there, get hammered, make a tit out of yourself and you never know, you might feature in his next collection.
