We love Borough Market but we find ourselves going less and less because, we hate to say it, there’s too many tourists and on Saturdays it’s madness. But now we can still enjoy the best bits of the market without even having to go anywhere thanks to the new online shopping service. Yes the iconic market has gone online, making it the first produce market in the country to do so, with some help from logistics platform Good Sixty.

You can order produce from a range of participating traders and once you’ve paid for your items, Good Sixty gathers them all up and stores them in a designated hub in the market. You can either go and collect your order if you’re passing by on your commute home, or you can book a delivery slot and Good Sixty will whizz it over on one of their zero-emission electric cargo bikes. Currently the delivery service is only operating within a 1.5 mile radius of the market, so you may have to settle for an office drop, but there are plans to expand across town next year. Looks like we’ll be browsing Borough Market rather than ASOS on our lunch breaks.
